study loan for January intake is open from 07th November to 7th December 2025.

Prospective applicants must meet all of the following conditions:
1. Citizenship: Be a Rwandan citizen.
2. Government Nomination: Be a government employee with a minimum of 2 years
of experience in the field of study and officially nominated by the Government of
Rwanda.
3. AGE: (Preferably) be under the age of 40 as of February 1, 2026.

4. Health: Be in good health, both physically and mentally.
– Those with disabilities, but in good mental and physical health, are

9. The offer covers all costs of study including airfare of one round-trip, tuition fees,
fees for extra-curricular activities, monthly allowance, accommodation, settlement
allowance, scholarship completion grants, and insurance. Any other extra expenses
that are associated, or which may arise in due course will be covered personally by
the candidate.

4.PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF CHINA – GOVERNMENT OF RWANDA SCHOLARSHIPS

 

The Higher Education Council (HEC) wishes to inform the public that there are available bilateral cooperation scholarships between the Government of Rwanda and the Peoples’ Republic of China for the academic year 2026/2027.

The scholarships are open for Bachelors, Masters and PhD programs starting with September 2026. Interested candidates should submit all the following application documents:

 Application letter addressed to the Director General of HEC;

 National ID or valid passport;

 Curriculum Vitae;

 Senior six results slip for undergraduate applicants and original-notified certificate and transcripts for postgraduate candidates;

 Filled forms for Chinese Government Scholarships and Medical Physical
Examination (available on HEC website);

 Recommendation from the employer (for Masters and PHD is an added advantage). Please note:

 The above-mentioned application documents will be submitted online to HECMIS using the link: https://hecmis.hec.gov.rw/.

 Candidates must have studied in Science related fields with at least:

i) 80%inthe2025 Senior Six National Examinations (or the equivalent for the qualifications obtained abroad) for Bachelor’s applicants;

Register an account through [CREATE AN ACCOUNT] and login with your account.

Step 2: Input Personal Details. Click “Edit Personal Details” and finish inputting
personal details by filling in all the information, verifying and saving the information. After
the completion of this section, return to the previous page by clicking “Finish” and start
filling in your application information.

Step 3: Sel ect the correct “Program Category”.
Please select Program Category “Type A”.

Step 4: Input the correct Agency Number.
Your Agency Number is: 6461
Program Category and Agency Number are directly matched, both are mandatory for
online application.
After inputting agency number, the matched agency name will automatically show on the
page. As Program Category and Agency Number are directly matched, application
processing authorities will not receive your online application if the program category or
agency number are not correct.

Step 5: Input Application Information
Next, please move on to the section of “Language Proficiency and Study Plan” and upload
“Supporting Documents” as requested, then click “Submit” to complete the application.
Check each part of your application carefully before submission. Please make sure that all
the information and uploaded documents are valid and accurate.
When applicants of “Tуpe A” application choose the “Preferences of Institutes”, system
will automatically match the available universities according to the selected “Student
Category, Preferred teaching language”. With any inquiry concerning the available majors of each university, please visit the following website.

authorities, applicant can revoke the submitted application by clicking “Withdraw” and edit
the application. After revoking the application, applicant must submit at second time after
re-editing, or the application will not be processed Once the application is processed,
application cannot be revoked

II. Scholarship Description

Target Level: Graduate degree (Master’s degree)
Majors offered:
Master of Engineering in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science
Master of Arts in International Business Administration
Master of Arts in International Hospitality and Tourism Management
Medium of instruction: 100% English medium of instruction

Duration:
Research Track: 4 semesters (2 years)
Coursework Track: 5 semesters (2.5 years)
Expected commencement: March 2026

III. Scholarship Benefits:
Kyungdong University Global Scholarship covers:

Full tuition fee of $5,000 for the first semester (by KDU Global) subject to compliance with KDU Global internal rules and regulations.
The students cover the dormitory expenses of $1100/semester.
Students/parents provide for other initial and personal expenses (e.g., airfare, application fee, health insurance). 2nd Semester Scholarship and Onwards: The tuition to be paid after the “KDU Global Partial.

Graduate Scholarship” depends on students’ academic performance in their first semester at KDU Global:
50% scholarship for 80-89 average mark: remaining balance: $2500
Students with an average mark of 90 or more will receive a 70% scholarship. remaining balance $1500,
*KDU Global provides part-time student job assistance during the study program.

IV. Entry Requirements

Applicants must meet the following general eligibility requirements:
Citizens and residents of East African Community Partner States (Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and the Federal Republic of Somalia).
Undergraduate Degree Diploma and Transcripts.
An English Proficiency Certificate with a minimum of IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL IBT 71 or higher is a mandatory document for both admission and visa procedures.

Bank Statement & Balance Certificate Selected applicants are required to present a 6-month bank statement and a bank balance certificate from a sponsor showing over $16,000 prior to their final admission to KDU Global.

The sponsor must be either the applicant’s parents or the applicant themselves. In cases where the parents are deceased, biological siblings may serve as sponsors.

V. Selection Process All applicants will undergo a merit-based two-stage selection process.
Stage I:
