  1. SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information
Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional certifications in systems administration, networking, cybersecurity,
web development, or related areas are an added advantage.
• Training or certification in Koha or library management systems is an advantage.
Experience
• At least 1-2 years of relevant experience in systems administration, IT infrastructure,
web administration, or a related technical role.
• Experience administering websites and web-based systems.
• Experience with library management systems, preferably Koha, is an advantage.
• Experience with network administration, servers, backups, and cybersecurity is
preferred.

Technical Skills and Competencies
• Strong knowledge of system and network administration.
• Knowledge of web administration and basic web development.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, CMS platforms, or related technologies is an
advantage.
• Knowledge of server administration, firewalls, proxy servers, and network security.
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and system issues.
• Understanding of backup and disaster recovery procedures.
• Knowledge of SEO and website analytics.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to document technical processes and provide user support.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

2. Technical support officer 

Qualifications
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a
related field.
• Relevant professional ICT certifications are an added advantage.
Experience
• 1–2 years of experience in IT support, helpdesk support, systems support, library
technology, or a related field.
• Experience working with websites, library management systems, or Koha is an
advantage.
• Experience providing customer or user support is preferred.
Technical Skills and Competencies
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, and
troubleshooting.
• Basic knowledge of website administration and content management.
• Basic understanding of backups and data restoration.
• Familiarity with library management systems, preferably Koha.
• Good computer literacy and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and respond to technical issues promptly.
• Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical staff.
• Professional, courteous, and service-oriented approach.

3. Technical Librarian

Qualifications and Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Library and Information Science, Information Management,
Records Management, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience; recent graduates with relevant internship or
practical library experience are encouraged to apply.
• Basic knowledge of cataloguing and classification principles, preferably Dewey
Decimal Classification (DDC).
• Familiarity with library management systems, preferably Koha, is an added
advantage.
• Basic understanding of bibliographic records and metadata; knowledge of
MARC21 or RDA is an advantage.
• Good computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office or equivalent productivity
tools.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling information and records.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to a modern, technologyenabled library environment.
• Fluency in English and Kinyarwanda; knowledge of French is an added advantage.
