Install, inspect, maintain, calibrate, and repair biomedical and medical equipment. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, electronic, mechanical, and software-related equipment faults. Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance of medical equipment. Test equipment to ensure it is safe, accurate, and functioning according to manufacturer specifications. Maintain equipment service records, maintenance schedules, and inventory documentation. Support the procurement, installation, commissioning, and replacement of medical equipment. Train healthcare workers on the correct and safe use of biomedical equipment. Coordinate with equipment suppliers, manufacturers, and service providers when specialized repairs are required. Ensure biomedical equipment complies with relevant safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. Inspect newly purchased equipment before it is put into clinical use. Monitor equipment performance and recommend repairs, upgrades, or replacement where necessary. Assist in developing preventive-maintenance plans and equipment-management procedures. Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and service requests. Maintain tools, spare parts, and technical documentation. Promote safe working practices when handling medical and electrical equipment.
