Job responsibilities
– Knowledge of public health communicable disease control, planning and policy development, analyzing data, concise reporting, and surveillance of communicable diseases; – Outbreak investigation, data interpretation and basics skills; – Understand the general on food safety value chain and food safety regulations; – Understanding the health sector functioning system and the decentralized structures; – Proven experience in detection and investigation of food- and waterborne outbreaks; – Knowledge of communicable disease epidemiology and surveillance; – Knowledge of tools, particularly analytical epidemiological tools, for outbreak investigation; – Knowledge to develop measurable objectives, operational plans and measurable indicators/targets for public health programs and project; – Ability to synthesize scientific factors toward strategic decision making; – Knowledge and understanding of the Rwandan Health system; – Resource management skills; – Analytical skills; – Problem solving skills; – Decision making skills; – Networking skills; – Leadership skills; – Mentoring and coaching skills – Time management skills; – Risk management skills; – Performance management skills; – Results oriented; – Digital literacy skills; – Fluency in Kinyarwanda, English and/ or French.
