Job responsibilities

•Provide regular direction and leadership to subor-dinates; •Supervise the implementation of the planned activ-ities of the program; •Evaluate the activities of the subordinates and ad-vise them for the improvement; •Submit the periodical evaluation reports of the ac-tivities of Health Infrastructure Development Pro-gram; •Guide the developmentand implementationof poli-cies on construction and rehabilitation of Health Infrastructure and coordinate relevant stakehold-ers; •Guide the elaboration, approval and coordination of feasibility and technical studies for the con-struction, upgrading and refurbishment of Health Infrastructure; •Guide the assessment of structural conditions of Health Infrastructure; •Advise the management on policies and strategies to develop the construction projects of the Health Infrastructure; •Guide the preparation of terms of reference /technical specifications of the studies to be car-ried out; •Oversee the compliance and the validation ses-sions of deliverables to the contract and their availability to the purpose; •Oversee the compliance of deliverables to the con-tracts and the smooth handover of the works done; •Guide the preparation of the terms of reference for the recruitment of the consultant in charge of su-pervision of Health Infrastructure project imple-mentation; •Guide the supervising firm along the contract lifespan to ensure the quality of the outputs; •Oversee the design and supervision of Health in-frastructure projects where the consultancy ser-vices are not required; •Orient requests for technical support to the staff under the Program; •Supervise the provision of the support depending on the needs; •Perform any other relevant tasks as assigned by the Supervisor




Qualifications

    • 1

      Master’s Degree in Construction pro-jects Management, Estate Management and Valuation, Civil Engineering, Archi-tecture with Five (5) years of relevant working experience including two (2) years at Managerial position and must be an active member of a Professional Body where applicable

    Bachelor’s Degree in construction pro-jects management, Estate Management and Valuation, Civil Engineering, Archi-tecture with seven (7) years of relevant working experience including three (3) years at Managerial position and must be an active member of a Professional Body where applicable

    7 Years of relevant experience

      In depth understanding of the construction processes specific to health facilities, including building codes, safety standards, and health-specific requirements.

      Ability to guide and assess feasibility studies, technical designs, and architectural plans for health infrastructure pro-jects.

    Familiarity with preparing and overseeing contract-related documentation for consultants and contractors.
