Job responsibilities
 Inspect areas for unsafe geological conditions, equipment, and working conditions;  Enforce PPEs usage;  Verify the quality of installations and equipment;  Ensure that the emergency facilities are in good condition;  Investigate hazardous conditions, including the presence of toxic or explosive gas and the practice of unsafe work behaviours by Miners, Blasters, and other mine employees;  Look for rotted or incorrectly placed timbers, dangerous electrical systems, defective mechanical equipment, and improperly stored explosives;  Investigate the cause of accident in the mine and how will be avoided and take measures for future prevention;  Inspect the ground support systems, processes and equipment for safe, economical, and environmentally sound extraction or underground construction activities;  Design, implement, and coordinate mine safety programs and standards;  Test air quality to detect toxic or explosive gas or dust, using portable gas-analysis equipment, in order to control health hazards and to reduce injuries and fatalities.  Receive progress reports of mining activities as submitted by MFO;  Handle complaints arise from mining; Provide support needed by miners.  Inspect underground or open-pit mines to ascertain compliance with contractual agreements and with health and safety laws;  Investigate if mining licenses correspond to activities on site;  Inspect if there is any illegal mining activities;  Inspect and verify if mining license is impacting positively to the community through provision of jobs, corporate social responsibilities…;  Inspect environmental compliance in mining.  Verify if mining license meet national mining laws;  Inspect if mining company meets designed mining standards and guidelines;  Inspect if mining company comply with traceability scheme and certification;  Inspect if issued license is operating or inactive (terminated the activities)  Carryout inspection activity for mineral certification;  Collect data for mineral certification;  Carryout monitoring and implementation of national and international standards/ICGLR Standards;  Fill ICGLR certification manual booklet  Inspect the compliance of mining licenses in traceability scheme;  Monitor traceability activities  Monitor traceability activities on site, usage of tags, performance of traceability officer on site;  Involve in allocation of mineral traceability staff;  Collaborate closely with mineral chain of custody stakeholders
