Job Summary:

The Mechanical Foreman will manage daily on-site mechanical works for construction projects. This includes supervising mechanical technicians, coordinating tasks, and ensuring high-quality installations of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems. The Mechanical Foreman will work closely with supervisors to meet project requirements, maintain safety standards, and deliver quality results on time.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Supervision:

  • Lead and manage mechanical technicians on-site, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
  • Assign daily tasks and monitor team performance to meet project deadlines.

Installation and Maintenance:

  • Supervise the installation of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems, as per project designs.
  • Perform routine checks and resolve technical issues on-site.


Quality Control:

  • Ensure that all mechanical installations meet design specifications, project standards, and industry codes (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA).
  • Inspect and verify the quality of completed work.

Safety Compliance:

  • Enforce adherence to health, safety, and environmental protocols.
  • Conduct toolbox talks to educate team members on safe practices and potential hazards.

Coordination and Communication:

  • Communicate progress, challenges, and material requirements to supervisors.
  • Work closely with the Mechanical Supervisor and other site teams to ensure smooth coordination of activities.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities, material usage, and any challenges encountered.
  • Assist in preparing reports for the Mechanical Supervisor and project management team.


Requirements:

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical installations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
