Reporting to the Manager, Financial Reporting and Analysis, this role will be responsible for coordinating the financial reporting process of RSSB and providing support to the Manager, Financial Reporting and Analysis.
About RSSB
The Rwanda Social Security Board (RSSB) has the mandate to manage and promote social security in Rwanda. RSSB’s vision is to provide a comprehensive social security system that caters to the diverse social security needs of the population, RSSB plays an important role in realizing Vision 2050 and the National Strategy for Transformation (NST1). RSSB manages six social security schemes, namely: Pension, Occupational Hazards, Medical scheme, CBHI, Maternity Leave Benefits and EjoHeza (Long-term Term Saving Scheme).
As a leading player in the financial sector, RSSB serves as the largest institutional investor in Rwanda. With assets under management amounting to 2.06 trillion Rwf , which is equivalent to over 15% of the country’s GDP, RSSB invests in key sectors of the economy and plays a crucial role in growing the country’s financial sector. With approximately 12 million members in the above six schemes, encompassing over 90% of Rwanda’s population, RSSB is at the forefront of securing the health and financial well-being of Rwandans.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Review financial reports and accounts and ensure that they are submitted in a timely manner, are accurate, and are compliant to organization’s policies and country specific regulatory requirements
- Review both management accounts and annual financial statements for compliance, completeness, and consistency
- Design and document reporting policies and procedures that comply with the relevant International Financial Reporting Standards and follow up to ensure implementation and adherence
- Identify training needs to ensure high quality reporting, adherence to internal controls and anticipation and management of risks
- Respond to financial inquiries by management and other relevant stakeholders by gathering, analysing, summarizing, and interpreting data
- Provide financial advice by studying operational issues, applying financial principles and practices, and developing recommendations
- Liaise with the auditors on Finance related matters
- Follow up and ensure that all Finance related audit queries are resolved, and recommendations are implemented
- Update job knowledge by keeping current with financial regulations and accepted practices
- Perform any other duties related to Financial Reporting and Analysis function as may be assigned from time to time
Key Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate must have at least:
- Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Commerce, or any other relevant field with at least 2 years’ experience
OR
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Commerce, or any other relevant field with at least 4 years’ experience
- CPA, ACCA or equivalent is an added advantage

The position is based in Kigali, Rwanda and applicants must be willing to relocate outside their countries of domicile.
