Job Description
Sample Collection and Preparation: Collecting samples of materials, such as rocks, minerals, or soils, and preparing them
for analysis in the laboratory.
Lab Equipment Maintenance: Conducting routine maintenance on laboratory equipment and instruments, including
cleaning, calibration, and troubleshooting as needed.
Data Analysis: Performing various laboratory tests and experiments to analyze samples and recording and analyzing the
data obtained from those tests.
Safety Management: Ensuring that laboratory safety procedures are followed and that all laboratory equipment and
instruments are maintained in a safe and functional condition.
Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of all laboratory activities, including samples tested, data obtained, and
equipment maintenance.
Quality Control: Participating in quality control procedures, including running quality control samples and participating in
proficiency testing programs.
Report Writing: Writing reports on laboratory findings and presenting the data to the supervisor(s).
