Job Description
– Coordinate the activities of the construction permitting team;
– Prepare certificates certifying that construction of buildings is in conformity with approved plans;
– Review comments compiled by the technical team and share them to clients by ensuring compliance with construction plans;
– Ensure that all buildings comply with the relevant laws and regulations (Town and Country Planning Act, Environment Law, Condominium law, Master Plan and Zoning Guidelines, Rwanda building control regulations etc);
– Report to relevant superiors and stakeholders
– To identify and propose new housing sites and infrastructure;
– To establish a housing plan for the district;
– To evaluate programs and housing projects in rural and urban areas;
– To evaluate the identification of resettlement sites in the town centres and estates;
– To develop programs to raise public awareness on different types of urban housing;
– To ensure the follow up of technical studies of urban planning and habitat;
– To establish mechanisms to observe the standards of urban planning and habitat;
– Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
