RWANDA WOOD VALUE CHAIN ASSOCIATION
INTRODUCTION
RWVCA, as wood membership-based association, is mandated to support the members business under Made in Rwanda brand to be competitive to the local, regional and international market. RWVCA members are composed by private companies and cooperatives that are divided into six functions that made the wood value chain namely tree seeds & nurseries, forest management, primary wood processing (harvesting and sawmill), secondary wood processing and tertiary wood processing and sale and distribution.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
- Title: Membership officer (1)
- Report: RWVCA Executive Secretary
- Contract terms: one year with possibility of extension
- Work station: Kigali.
Under the supervision of RWVCA Executive Secretary, the incumbent will execute the activities related to the coordination of the members of the association. The post holder will be responsible for daily management of the members.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Execute activities of the RWVCA members,
- Mobilize and recruitment of woods operators to join the Association;
- Management of member’s database of Wood Entrepreneurs
- Collection of membership fees;
- Coordination of membership activities;
- Represent the organization in various functions;
- Carry out advocacy campaigns and engage with government leaders for
policy change
- Development of projects and assist in its implementation
- Handling all questions, information requests, and complaints regarding membership.
- Processing membership applications, renewals, and resignations.
- Maintaining and updating membership records.
- Assisting with member communication activities.
- Collecting data, tracking membership statistics, and preparing reports.
- Developing and implementing strategies to recruit new members.
- Coordinating with the accounting department to track membership revenue.
- Preparing membership marketing materials.
- Communicate the activities of the members through social media,
- Organizing events and activities for existing and prospective members.
- Perform any other similar tasks entrusted to him by his/her superiors.
QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS
- Holder of Bachelor degree in Business Administration or related discipline,
- Previous experience in member management,
- Computer skills: MS Office, advanced Excel preferred
- Good written and verbal skills in English, Kinyarwanda
