| Purpose |
A Professional in Charge of Business Intelligence Analysis is the principal technical expert in Business intelligence function. S/he works with Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence System to help them improve their policies, strategies, processes and systems typically through analysis and strategic thinking by conducting research and analysis in order to identify performance gaps and solutions to business problems, and to recommend innovations to improve business operations. A Professional in Charge of Business Intelligence Analysis may also perform selected operational and technical roles of a highly complex nature either on occasional or permanent basis based on the nature of the business function.

| Key duties and responsibilities |
- Provide technical support to the DWH&BI System users in the development and delivery of business intelligence solutions and ongoing development and maintenance of the data warehouse.
- Collect and Interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements for the business intelligence system.
- Investigate and seek to resolve any identified data integrity issues, feeding the analysis back the source of the issues to attempt to remove possibility of re-occurrence.
- Improving and streamlining processes regarding data flow and data quality to improve data accuracy, viability and value
- Mentor and train employees to develop technical and business system skills on how to use the system to ensure optimal usage of the DWH and BI system.
- Liaise with key staff in Information Services regarding the development, execution and maintenance of data warehouse and technical activities

| Required Competencies |
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of data analytical software or languages such as STATA, R, Python, SPSS and Excel;
- Expertise in SQL database systems.
- – Experience of econometric techniques, predictive analytics, and data mining and statistical analysis using large, complex datasets would be an added advantage.
- Excellent oral and written English; proficiency in French and Kinyarwanda is added value
- Data Visualization skills;
- Demonstrated ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to prioritize workloads and work under pressure as well as a team member;
- Ability to deal with the demands of internal and external customers
