Purpose |
Under the supervision of Supervisor in charge of Revenue Modelling and Statistics, the Principle professional in Charge of revenue modelling and statistics works with the revenue modeling and statistics team to analyse tax gaps, tax expenditure and other microsimulation models, and to extract raw data from different databases, perform data preparation, data cleaning, data transformation and carry out statistical analysis to help the RRA and policymakers to make informed decision making. This is done typically through analysis and strategic thinking by conducting research and analysis in order to identify performance gaps and solutions to business problems and to recommend innovations to improve business operations.

Key duties and responsibilities |
- ensure proper maintenance and coordination of microsimulation models,
- Coordinate Tax Gap modelling and ensure accuracy and quality of its reporting, for core taxes (CIT/PIT, VAT, PAYE, Customs Taxes)
- carry out tax expenditure modelling for major taxes (cit/pit, paye, excise and customs) and ensure accuracy and quality of related reports.
- liaise with tax analysis and revenue forecasting team to make quick impact analysis of new policies that will affect revenue projections
- Coordinate the team to ensure proper data cleaning and automation of frequently requested reports;
- Coordinate all activities of statistical reports and publications preparations;
- Coordinate data request handling to ensure confidentiality of taxpayer`s information;
- Perform any other duties related to RRA business as assigned by line manager.
