Job Responsibilities

  • Set goals and objectives for direct reports, monitor progress, and maintain motivation
  • Manage the performance of the team in the assigned region
  • Identify staff training and development needs and implement necessary actions
  • Involved in the process of hiring a talented team to support MMRL operations in assigned regions.
  • Manage and evaluate Sales channels OPEX in the region
  • Buy-in and effective management of internal stakeholders to build partnerships for attaining work execution excellence
  • In-depth understanding of the telecommunication and ICT industry to better advise the business on regional issues
  • Applicability/Localisation of best customer experience and relations practices
  • Understand the mission and vision of the division and apply them in developing the right interventions.
  • Strong collaboration with all regional/divisional heads
  • Ability to help franchisees/distributors/retailers to find solutions improve sales and acquisitions
  • Develop an overall regional plan and ensure effective execution
  • Develop sales strategies and ensure proper implementation to achieve acquisition targets for regions under supervision
  • Plan and execute Direct and indirect Sales in the regions under your supervision.
  • Supervise the accounts in the region under supervision and ensure they meet revenue targets
  • Oversee mobile money customer registration, and reconnection and ensure targets are met
  • Coordinate the regions under supervision by ensuring that the sales targets of all MMRL products and services are achieved.
  • Manage Opex and cost of sales in the region under the supervision
  • Plan and monitor for mobile money float and cash availability in the regions under supervision
  • Draw and implement strategies to grow the Mobile money agent’s footprint in the region.
  • Oversee and ensure availability and sales of all MMRL products & services in the regions under his/her supervision.
  • Manage the MMRL trade channel and ensure it remains competitive in terms of depth, breadth, and customer experience.
  • Liaise with marketing for thorough regional branding to ensure MoMo visibility
  • Follow up on Network and Data services in the region under the supervision
  • Consolidate and submit the monthly sales performance reports for all accounts in the regions under supervision on or before the 5th of the following month
  • Develop strategies to outcompete the competition in areas of operation
  • Build & monitor excellent customer service to all touch points in the areas under the supervision
  • Plan and ensure implementation of all trade initiatives (Campaigns) in the regions under supervision
  • Coordinate and ensure timely delivery of all products and services to the trade (clear & faster route to market)
  • Responsible to ensure quality implementation of the franchisee’s market development initiatives
  • Train, develop, and mentor the sales team to achieve sales objectives in the region under the supervision
  • Ensuring the company objectives in terms of EBITDA are achieved
  • Ensure healthy return on investment of trade partners (Franchisee, Distributor, and Retailers) by regular trade servicing and other channel activities




Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce or Sales and Marketing or Management.
  • A postgraduate degree in a relevant field is an advantage.
  • 5 years of working in the F.M.C.G.(Fast Moving Consumer Goods) industry, of which at least 3 years must have been at the middle management level.
  • Having been trained in effective leadership, marketing in Telecommunication, Customer care, product, and sales management, Key Account Management, and stakeholder management.
