Job Description
•Ensure that building maintenance activities of Public Healthcare contractions are done according to contracts,
•Collection, storing, updating and reporting on data about the status of health infrastructures
•To participate in the analysis of the collected data of the health infrastructures in need of maintenance,
•To assist the decentralized level in elaboration of maintenance plan of all public health infrastructure facilities.
•Report on the constructions status and needs on a monthly basis to the Provincial Hospital management and RBC
•Provide technical support on any medical equipment pre
– installation or post
– installation related works when needed,
•Perform any other tasks or duties as instructed by his/her supervisor.

Job Profile
?Being of Rwandan nationality;
?Hold an Advanced Diploma (A1) in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Architecture, or related fields with a 1 year working experience in construction projects is acceptable
?Experience of working independently and without close supervision
?Training in health infrastructure
?Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to interact with patients and health providers;
?Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to details; flexibility, independence and creativity;
?Fluency in English and Kinyarwanda, proficiency in French is an added value;

•Provide technical support to Biomedical technicians /engineers for the provincial medical equipment workshops regarding maintenance, repairing, replacement and proper use of medical equipment. •Work with provincial hospital, district hospitals and health center teams to evaluate safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of existing biomedical equipment. •Monitor all the expenditures related the maintenance of equipment in the provincial hospital, district hospitals and health center •Ensuring the training of clinicians and other hospital personnel on the proper use of medical equipment. •Prepare and assist the team in setting proper specification of biomedical equipment to be procured •Manage out sourcing of maintenance – service contracts, casual contracts •Investigate any work incidents on medical equipment in the HF (Health Facilities) •Identify required tools and test equipment for biomedical maintenance. •Participate in accreditation program (Quality insurance) •Work with the hospital based biomedical technicians to develop long term maintenance plan that will allow sustainability and continuous use of medical equipment. •Collect data related to medical equipment including cost that will allow both hospital and health centers for joint planning. •Give evidence

•Provide technical support to Biomedical technicians /engineers for the provincial medical equipment workshops regarding maintenance, repairing, replacement and proper use of medical equipment. •Work with provincial hospital, district hospitals and health center teams to evaluate safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of existing biomedical equipment. •Monitor all the expenditures related the maintenance of equipment in the provincial hospital, district hospitals and health center •Ensuring the training of clinicians and other hospital personnel on the proper use of medical equipment. •Prepare and assist the team in setting proper specification of biomedical equipment to be procured •Manage out sourcing of maintenance – service contracts, casual contracts •Investigate any work incidents on medical equipment in the HF (Health Facilities) •Identify required tools and test equipment for biomedical maintenance. •Participate in accreditation program (Quality insurance) •Work with the hospital based biomedical technicians to develop long term maintenance plan that will allow sustainability and continuous use of medical equipment. •Collect data related to medical equipment including cost that will allow both hospital and health centers for joint planning. •Give evidence

– MoH in the types of equipment to buy or receive as donations and assist with annual planning and budgeting for medical equipment •Evaluate the quality control activities of HF equipment •Prepares and provides compelling presentations at the senior management levels that support decisions making •Engages with staff in provincial hospital and district hospital beyond in “on the job” capacity building to grow their capacity with respect to Planning and the use of financial information in decision making •Working under pressure with minimum supervision •Performing the given tasks to the highest possible standards within the time frame •Contribute to all other activities of the provincial medical equipment workshop according to the needs •Conduct evaluation of his/her team, and provide monthly and quarterly reports to RBC in a timely manner, •Ensure Performance Based Evaluations and report to RBC on a monthly basis, •Handle any other task given by the supervisor. •Develop reports on a monthly basis and submit to his/her supervisors at the Provincial Hospital management and RBC
