Job Summary
Reporting to the Manager, Financial Stability Analysis, the Analyst is responsible for assessing domestic financial system and markets and recommend policy actions needed to mitigate risks to the entire financial sector.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Participate in the strategic planning and implementation of the division’s strategy;
- Participate in the identification of indicators necessary to analyse the stability and performance of the financial sector;
- Collection, processing, storing and sharing the data on financial sector;
- Conduct an analysis on the interlinkages between the sub-sectors of the financial system;
- Assess the financial ramifications of economic imbalances (real, fiscal, external and monetary sectors);
- Assess the interlinkages between the financial sector and the capital market and implication on the stability and performance of the financial sector;
- Assess and promote the robustness of the financial system architecture including the payment systems;
- Assess other emerging risks to the financial sector stability and advise on possible solutions to mitigate their impact;
- Participate in the design of macro-prudential policy tool to mitigate risks to the financial sector;
- Participate in conducting research and dissemination information on financial stability issues and risks, domestically, regionally and internationally;
- Participate in the production and publication of quarterly and annual reports on Financial Stability of the country.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Financial Engineering, or related field.
• At least intermediate professional courses level including CFA, CIFA, ACCA, CPA or related Professional courses.
