Job Description

– Reporting to the Crop Protection Program Coordinator Senior Research Fellow, the Innovation and Technology Transfer Senior Research Technician has the following responsibilities:
– Create awareness and farmers ‘capacity building on pests and diseases management and on chemicals application techniques for the effective control;
– Participate in research and technology transfer on crop pests and diseases prevention and management;
– Prepare a quarterly and annual report on crop pests and diseases research activities carried out;
– Production and dissemination of awareness creation and sensitization crop protection materials (posters and fliers) and other forms of mass extension including radio and TV talks;
– Backstop/support extension and technology dissemination to stakeholders in crop pests and diseases prevention and management;
– Provide training to farmers and extension agents on improved crop pests and diseases;
– Write and contribute to scientific publications on his/her crop pests and diseases research results in accordance with prescribed policy published in force; and/or laboratory practices.




  • Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor of Science in Microbiology

      10 Years of relevant experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Biotechnology

      10 Years of relevant experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Crop Sciences

      10 Years of relevant experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Plant Sciences

      10 Years of relevant experience

    • Proven experience to work with farmers in research and extension
