Job description

Reporting to the Director General the Data Management Specialist will be responsible of the following:

– Design, develop, maintain, manage, and report on databases and data updates.
– Design data tracking and monitoring tools.
– Provide support for data collection and management activities and attend relevant meetings as the expert.
– Ensure accuracy and integrity of data and act as a lead point of contact on data related matters.
– Coordinate the planning and development of different research and technology transfer publications that address priority issues of the institution
– Assure the quality of the RAB’s publications both in terms of content and format
– Contribute to the organization of conferences, seminars, meetings organized by RAB and coordinate the publication of the proceedings
– Support programme teams to draw up timelines for producing a publication; advise on copy editing and translation; and obtain quotations for design and print to help teams prepare budgets
– Monitor new trends in publications production and dissemination to support the development of high quality, effective communications
– Arrange dissemination of soft &hard copy publications and resources when required
– Maintain and update guidelines for planning, producing and disseminating publications and resources, incorporating lessons learnt
– Maintain copies of publications in RAB’s library, archives and on RAB’s website
– Monitor value for money by periodically tendering sample publications to obtain comparative quotes from designers and printers
– Maintain the resources area of the website, ensuring it is up-to-date
– Write, edit and proof read a range of communications products and projects
– Support other members of the communications team to update and develop other areas of RAB’s website
