 All Across Africa is a benefit corporation that employs over 2,000 artisans from different parts of Rwanda to create beautiful handmade baskets and accessories, while improving the lives of the rural poor with economic opportunity.

In order to respond to our growing market, we are looking for an experienced Field Operations Manager to coordinate and oversee our field operations in Rwanda. 







Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and direct operations team to achieve business targets
  • Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way
  • Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices
  • Assist in employee appraisals, promotions, compensation and termination based on the performance review
  • Assist in interviewing, recruiting and training candidates
  • Maintain accurate and clear documentation for operational procedures and activities
  • Work in compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Ensure team follows standard operating procedures for all operational functions
  • Conduct regular meetings with team to discuss about issues, concerns, updates etc.
  • Source new artisan groups for Company’s expansion
  • Advise the top management on the best locations for new production centres set-up

Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as Operations Manager or similar role
  • At least 5 year of experience in similar responsibilities
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Agriculture, Business or related field
  • Experience working in rural areas
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Hard working, patient, enthusiastic and flexible
  • Fluent in English and Kinyarwanda skills; speaking and writing
  • Computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, Power Point and email system
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, keen for learning, and receptive to feedback.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Must be flexible to reside near the workplace
  • Driving license category “A”
