 SPONSORSHIP AND PARTNERSHIP COORDINATOR

 World Vision Rwanda is a child focused Christian humanitarian organization implementing development programs in 29 Districts of Rwanda.

World Vision Rwanda seeks to hire a highly qualified, dedicated, and experienced national for the position of Sponsorship and Partnership Coordinator. The position will be based at Rutsiro District Reporting to the Cluster Manager.

 Purpose of the position:

 The Sponsorship and Partnership Coordinator provides specialized support for the implementation of Sponsorship operations within the Cluster. The position holder ensures Sponsorship is well integrated within all program sectors and is responsible for accurate and timely processing of correspondences as well as monitoring of child well-being outcomes for all Registered Children. He/she participates in community engagement and capacity-building efforts of partners and community groups for the improvement of the wellbeing of the most vulnerable children.




The major responsibilities include:

25% Implementation and Monitoring

Lead the Implementation of Community Engagement and Sponsorship Programing (CESP) in Area Programs (APs).

  • Provides coordination and support within the Cluster to ensure child monitoring standards and Sponsor engagement within assigned Cluster’s APs  are met
  • Coordinates the incorporation of child and adult safeguarding standards and other cross-cutting themes in sponsorship processes.
  •  Work closely with Cluster team to ensure Child Monitoring Standards (CMS) are integrated well as a part of a community led care and protection mechanisms.
  • Ensures that sponsorship management data is made available on a regular basis for staff/partners review and decision making.
  •  Provide monthly, quarterly and periodic reports.
  • Report RC death as per partnership standards.
  • Community Engagement and Sponsorship Programing (CESP)  detailed Implementation Plans are implemented within time and budget
  •  Child monitoring is community-led and well managed.
  • Child and adult safeguarding standards as well other cross-cutting themes are met within sponsorship processes.

 

10% Community engagement and Sponsorship education

  • Participates in sponsorship education processes and contributes to all aspects of community engagement as needed.
  • Provides technical input on sponsorship messaging and maintains inventory of communication materials
  • Provides sponsorship capacity building to partners and community groups
 

  • The community understands WV’s identity and the role of sponsorship for improving the wellbeing of the most vulnerable children.
  •  Increased number of individuals, groups and organizations that are motivated to work with WV Rwanda
10% Sponsor communication (Annual Progress Report, Greetings Cards, and other sponsor letters)

  • Ensures sponsor communications activities are designed in such way so as to contribute to life skills and development assets of children
  • Coordination of design, development of communication materials, quality assurance, and administration (including postage)
  • Coordinates information management, data quality, data entry, monitoring, tracking, exception reports, follow-up reports
 

  • Sponsor communication is engaging and meaningful
  • Sponsorship communication is of high quality and timely
  • Sponsor communication is processed as per sponsorship standards
10% Child selection

  • Plans RC distribution within Primary Focus Areas and monitors RC inventory on an ongoing basis.
  • Ensures alignment of child selection criteria with WV intent
  • Coordinates overall process of child selection including development of selection criteria, timeframe, materials, documentation, etc.
  • Coordinates information management – quality assurance, data entry, record management
 

  •  RC distribution is managed well and RC benefit from project activities
  •  Child selection criteria is implemented with a focus on the most vulnerable children
  • Accurate records for new registered children records are maintained

 

10 % Integration of Sponsorship within program sectors.

  • Provides subject matter expertise for integration of sponsorship requirements and child participation during the program process.
  • Coordinates Integrated Activity Plan to link sponsorship requirements with Cluster Programs
 

  • Sponsorship activities are integrated within programs activities
  • Integrated activity plan developed and implemented
  • Child monitoring is integrated within programs activity plans
5% Queries & record management

Manages queries including record management, assignment, quality assurance, and follow-up timely response

 

Queries are responded to appropriately and on time

5% Capacity Building and learning

  • Builds the capacity of implementing partners, other stakeholders, and Cluster staff in sponsorship operations and Sponsorship integration approach with other sectors
  • Facilitate dissemination of Child Wellbeing reports for action
  •  Capacity of implementing partners and Cluster staff grow over time for sponsorship operations
  • Local stakeholders have an increased capacity to utilize monitoring data for interventions at a community level.
25% Partnerships

  • Coordinate Sponsorship operations through partners and ensure volunteers deliver all the expected business on time
  • Pioneer Sponsorship integration within other sectors to avoid extractive engagement with RC
  • Ensure data synchronization is perfectly done all the time
 

  •  Partners and volunteers understand Sponsorship ministry and motivated to work for CW being

Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience

The following knowledge, skills, and abilities may be acquired through a combination of formal schooling, self-education, prior experience, or on-the-job training:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Economics, Education.
  2. 3 years’ experience in development fields
  3. Strong understanding of community-led development work
  4. Strong facilitation skills, including catalyzing, connecting, and building the capacity of community groups
  5. Good interpersonal skills and cross-cultural sensitivity, abilities to work as a team.

 Salary:

The salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
