 Context of the position:

SOS Children’s Villages Rwanda is an independent, non-governmental social development & child-focused organization. The Organization supports vulnerable children and young people in four locations of Kigali, Gicumbi, Kayonza, and Nyamagabe. SOS Rwanda applies a one program approach in its education, family strengthening, health, and community development programs, that support a holistic approach in the interest of the child. SOS Children’s Villages Rwanda therefore seeks to recruit four (4) staffs: (1 Dean of studies and Discipline, 1 Industry Coordinator, 1 Teacher of Electronic & Electricity, Teacher of Business/Entrepreneurship modules) at SOS Technical School Kigali.




2.    Industry Coordinator 

The position holder will therefore be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Development and supporting the implementation of marketing strategy/ Business plan for stabilization of financial autonomy of the Technical School
  • Support the implementation of business plan for the production Unit,
  • Develop partnerships with companies to provide internship and employment,
  • Support sustainability plan of community-based networks on TVET support and other relevant development initiatives,
  • Facilitate stakeholder analysis by maintaining and updating stakeholders’ profiles and database including notes for partner discussion,
  • Produce various reports according to the project reporting timeline

The prospective candidates should fulfill the following criteria:

  • Must hold a bachelor degree in marketing, Accounting, or Finance with at least 5 years of experience in working with companies/Industries
  • Good teamwork spirit and ability to create positive relationship,
  • Must have experience networking with government, development partners, and like- minded organization including companies, TVET institution, etc,
  • Good computer skills
  • Fluency in Kinyarwanda and English (French knowledge is plus)
  • Experience in marketing or working with the private sector
  • Skills in developing business plans,
  • Good communication and negotiating skills
  • Experience working as a trainer or in a training environment
  • Preference is given Rwandan National
