Purpose |
The Tax and Customs Technical Officer is the top front –line tax official responsible for ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations, providing technical expertise on tax and customs matters and deliver outstanding service to RRA customers with high integrity.

Key duties and responsibilities |
- Review and analyze tax returns and other relevant documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax and customs laws
- Collect and process tax and Customs payments from Taxpayers.
- Conduct audits to verify tax liabilities and identify any discrepancies or potential fraud in taxation and Customs in general
- Provide guidance and support to taxpayers regarding their tax and customs obligations and available reliefs
- Inspect goods, cargo, and travelers at border points to ensure compliance with customs laws and regulations
- Implement measures to prevent and investigate smuggling, fraud, and other illegal activities related to Tax and customs
- Stay informed about changes in tax and Customs laws regulations to ensure up-to-date compliance
- Handle taxpayers complaints in the timely manner
- Prepare and submit detailed reports on tax collections, audits, customs inspections, and enforcement actions
- Provide information to taxpayers to promote good public relations and improve understanding of tax and Customs laws , regulations and procedures
- Assisting in the interpretation of tax laws
- perform any other duty assigned by your supervisor

- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration specialized in specialized in Finance
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration specialized in specialized in Accounting
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration specialized in specialized in Economics

- Professional qualification in Level 1 professional qualifications specialized in In ACCA & PCA
