Job Description
The Network Specialist is responsible to maintain reliable, secure and efficient data communications networks in the Sector (Ministry, Lead Institution, Affiliated institutions), specifically:
• Establish network specifications, designs, implement, configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS).
• Perform network maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Conduct network upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations.
• Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability,
• Monitor network resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.
• To be able to understand software defined Architecture with hyper converged Infrastructure
• Design and set standards for different government institution on Network (WAN/LAN).
• Provide Level 2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
• Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
• Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team. Document and keep records
• Prepare and conduct end-user trainings on utilizing the network safely
• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for network enhancements and problem resolution

Having experience in Computer Networks Administration. Having Certifications in A++, N++, MCITP, MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, CNNP, CCIE is an added advantage
