Job description
Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners
• Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
• Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
• Providing technical support to U
– SACCOs (this may be in person or over the phone)
• Assist in maintaining all ICT equipment and applications for U
– SACCOs
• Setting up and configuring the end users (new and existing) requirement
• Assist in routine tasks, such as backing up data, monitoring network and systems, servers and peripherals, etc
• Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary
• Tracking inventory and evaluating new technologies
• Possibly training more U
– SACCO staff members on installed applications
Job profile
• Bachelor’s degree in Information management, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering and Software Engineering with 3years of relevant working experience Or a Master’s degree in the aforementioned fields with 1 year relevant working experience
• Solid experience with designing, evaluating and deploying network security solutions for outbound, inbound and lateral network traffic.
• Strong analytical skills/problem solving/conceptual thinking.
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to quickly diagnose the problem areas and come up with solutions and/or workarounds
• Ability to assist in the operation and maintenance of the Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area and Network (WAN) systems.
• Fluent in Kinyarwanda and English or French, the fluency in both English and French being an added advantage
