Key Result #1 – Program development and technical support (40%)
- Lead the development and implementation of innovative food security, nutrition-sensitive and livelihoods interventions addressing the needs of the most vulnerable members of society;
- Lead in the development of contextual analyses of economic policy, food security, nutrition and livelihoods issues affecting the country and particularly the target groups;
- Facilitate the development of a detailed food security and livelihoods strategy that aligns with the Country Transformation Plan and Vision 2030;
- Participate in budget processes and periodic budget reviews for food security and livelihoods related activities;
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual work plans and donor reports as per agreed formats;
- Provide necessary and timely technical assistance to food security and livelihoods staff in the areas of agricultural/livestock productivity, input systems, value chains, access to finance and market development-related activities;
- Design and coordinate market assessments, feasibility studies, baseline and end of project evaluations;
- Ensure that Project Officers produce accurate and timely reports against planned activities;
- Organize regular team meetings, making sure they are participatory and end up with agreed action points aimed at continuous improvement of FH’s FSL programs.
Key Result #2 – Resource Development (30%)
- Support the Program Manager in identifying needs, providing necessary information for resource development and securing donor funding in accordance with budget targets and maintaining a diversity of future funding options for the office;
- Support FH Rwanda’s resource development efforts through needs assessments and designing of project concepts and proposals, including log frames, budgets and supporting documentation;
- Lead in the development of country fundraising strategy for food security and livelihood sector;
- Support the Program Manager in resolving diverse and occasionally complex problems related to funding and donor relationship management.
Key Result #3 – External Relations (30%)
- Strengthen linkages and foster working relations with civil society organizations, government representatives, private sector and community-based organizations in this sector;
- Coordinate the adoption of new products and/or approaches in food security and livelihoods development and marketing;
- Select intervention sites, expansion areas and (new) program partners based in consultation with the Program Manager;
- Represent FH in technical working groups and donor meetings at a national level;
- Initiate and manage existing partnerships.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
A minimum of a Master’s degree in Agriculture, Livestock, Agribusiness or related with over 8 years of work experience in food security, agribusiness and/or livelihoods programming. Proficiency in spoken and written English and Kinyarwanda is mandatory. Proficiency in French will be an added advantage

- Knowledge and experience working with other cultures
- A broad grasp of socio-economic policy issues with respect to food security and livelihood development in Rwanda
- Technical knowledge in food security, livestock and other livelihoods, social protection, gender issues, and environment

- Proven experience in managing donor relationships including private donors
- Excellent communication and writing skills

2.Multi-Sector Facilitator” (2 positions)
We are seeking to hire qualified, dedicated and experienced “Multi-Sector Facilitator” (2 positions) to work at the cell level in Mwendo Cluster/Sector in Ruhango District.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key result #1-Implementation of program activities.
- Facilitate community training and compilation of Community Transformation plan and its periodical updates.
- Assist target communities/populations to optimize their use of knowledge & resources available to them in order to improve the well-being of their children.
- Organizes the formation of Groups (Cascade, savings, etc.) in the community and their training using FH approved training modules
- Monitors and reports on whether the trained Groups, leaders and community members are accomplishing action plans and whether this is translating into meeting the needs of their children.
- Walks with the groups, leaders and community members, encourage them and supports everyone with ideas to respond well in their roles.
Key result #2- Documentation and program reports
- Obtain information from Sponsorship Relations Facilitators about child-sponsorship activities to keep updated on the sponsorship status and any arising issues
- Works closely with the Sponsorship Relations Facilitators to plan and share a joint implementation plan
- Establishes and maintains project and activity documents including keeping records of all activities being implemented
- Compile timely monthly, quarterly, biannual and annual progress reports as required.
- Supports his/her supervisor in supervision ongoing constructions within their area of jurisdiction
- Assist in generating stories required from the field to facilitate the process of fundraising campaigns.
Key result #3- Program support duties
- Mobilize the churches, leaders, and families towards understanding and supporting FH/R objectives and philosophy
- Maintain relationships within all FH/R Sectors in the field with a view of enhancing FH/R to fulfill the strategy.
- Recommend areas in which FH/R can use its expertise in knowledge development to assist target communities to develop their capacity
- Supervise, train and mentor any interns and volunteers placed under this position.
QUALIFICATIONS

3. Sponsorship Relations Facilitator” (1position)
We are seeking to hire qualified, dedicated and experienced “Sponsorship Relations Facilitator” (1position) for our Rwanda Country Program to be based in, Mwendo Sector/Cluster in Ruhango District
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Sponsorship Relations Facilitator will report to the Sponsorship Relations Officer and will be responsible for the following areas:
- Participate in the identification, selection, registration, and verification of beneficiaries in the targeted communities as per set guidelines.
- Ensure that letters are written, translated and get to sponsors/children on time.
- Take children photos as required
- Write at least one (1) success/impact stories per month and include photos showing the change in the lives of the people living in the community.
- Engage and sensitize target communities with respect to program activities and organize parents and/or children meetings according to the relevant topics.
- Equip parents in order to meet the spiritual, intellectual, physical and emotional needs of their children.
- Build the capacity of the volunteers and partner with community groups to deliver outcomes effectively to enhance the well-being of children and ensure volunteer efforts are coordinated to promote integration and synergy to prevent duplications.
- Visit the home of registered children two (2) times a year and complete a child well-being report using the template provided.
- Represent FH Rwanda in community meetings and other forums as requested by the supervisor.

- Monitor the day-to-day program activities in the assigned cell in accordance with the designated monitoring systems and maintain accurate records of the same.
- Participate in data collection and entry for any assessments, surveys, and evaluations.
- REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty/function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required:
- Must have a demonstrated Christian commitment to serving the vulnerable and be in full agreement with FH’s Christian foundation and FH Vision, Mission and Values.
- Diploma in Education or related topics plus at least five (5) years of relevant work experience in an NGO setting.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in community relations and mobilization using participatory methodologies
- Ability and willingness to learn and work with a high degree of motivation and adaptability
- Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, including the ability to work effectively in a team
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Ability to train using adult methodologies
- Ability to write good reports and good oral and writing skills
- Knowledge of related programs, particularly education, agriculture, nutrition, and hygiene are also an advantage.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English and Kinyarwanda
